changing your life

What is the boldest, bravest thing you’ve ever done? How did it change your life for the better?

We’ve all had the experience of feeling stuck. Life starts to weigh you down and relationships, jobs, or activities we once enjoyed are no longer fun. You reach the place where you just can’t take it anymore and something’s got to give. So what do you do?

Thinking back to all the time’s I’ve made big, world-shifting changes, I noticed it always starts the same way. First, I have to admit to myself that it’s time for change. Ugh! Change can be scary and always comes with some amount of discomfort because we’re forced to step out of our comfort zones.

Admitting that it’s time to change your life is kind of like ripping off a bandage. Once you own it, you can actually see the problem and address it instead of covering it up with excuses, distractions, and other coping mechanisms. It’s not always fun to look at the gaping wound, but once we acknowledge it’s there, we can do something about it.

Once we've overcome the hurdle of admitting our need for change, then it's time to get clear on what's most important. These are your non-negotiables. Start with two lists, "Must Have" and "Absolutely Not". These answers will give you a starting place for evaluating opportunities and possibilities. If they don't meet the items on those lists, then it's a "no"!

Here's more insights about these steps I’ve gained over the years of getting unstuck so you can change your life for the better and start making big, bold moves toward your dreams!
